About
Oceanic Impact is serving as the regional lead and coordinator for Ocean Week Toronto (June 1-8, 2026). This initiative is a part of the national Ocean Week Canada. We aim to bring together a diverse network of partners to celebrate our connections to ocean and water, and in turn, inspire conservation actions.Â
Our vision is to establish a central hub where organizations in the water, ocean, conservation and education sectors can collaborate. By working together, we aim to grow our collective impact and strengthen the conservation community across the Greater Toronto & Hamilton Area (GTHA).

Host an Event
Join a national celebration by hosting an activity in your community during Ocean Week Toronto! As the regional hub, we invite local organizations, partners, community groups, and educators to bring people closer to water through shared experiences.Â
Event Ideas
We welcome a wide range of activities that allow participants to connect with the water and ocean. Here are some event ideas:
Community Stewardship: Organize shoreline cleanups or native plant gardening.
Citizen Science: Lead hands-on water quality testing or water-themed bioblitz.
Educational Workshops: Run interactive sessions on ocean conservation, plastic reduction, or other topics related to water and freshwater systems.
Water-Based Activities: Offer guided experiences and fun activities using kayaks, canoes, or paddleboards.
Wildlife Education: Host interactive workshops focused on local species such as turtles, waterfowl, and fish.
Hosting an event during Ocean Week Toronto is a chance to share your work, reach new audiences, and be part of a growing network of people working toward the same goal.
