Oceanic Impact is a social enterprise that was founded upon having a positive impact on the ocean environment. We focus on marine debris reduction and elimination through education, outreach, and technological development to empower local communities to take action.

Lisa Chen
Founder & CEO
Lisa a marine biologist, conservationist, and educator. She has many years of international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary experience in marine biology, conservation, fisheries, aquaculture, and education.
Leah Lourenço
Business Analyst
Leah is a Jane of All Trades. With her multidisciplinary background in biology, data science, environmental conservation and business consulting in the impact space, Leah aids in the development of Oceanic Impact.
Joanna Liu
Software Developer
Joanna is a senior software developer, who helps Oceanic Impact with software consulting, video editing, and merchandise designs. She loves the outdoors, and goes on hikes and adventures in her free time.
Bonnie Shao
Product Designer
Bonnie is an innovation designer at IBM and she applies her design experience to empower people to protect and clean the ocean.
